The Brief

To catalog the history of the Barings family incorporating the extensive amount of artwork and documentation. The site also needed to display a family tree going back over 420 years.

The Result

Whilst the initial appearance of the site is simple, behind the scenes there is a significant amount of technical know-how built in to facilitate all of the objectives the site had to achieve. Amongst many, these include:

An interactive family tree that links seamlessly between biographies on the website.
An extensive search and download capability to access the vast amount of documentation that is available within the archive.
Access to digitised content
An innovative solution to display some of the portraits within the archive to display explanatory content as well as the image.
